CEBU CITY — Less than a month before the staging of Palaro ng Pambansa, Assistant Secretary for Field Operations Francis Cesar Bringas of the Department of Education visited Cebu City Sports Center to check the ongoing renovations.Bringas was assured by Acting Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia that the refurbishments will be done in time for the start of the 2024 Palaro ng Pambansa on July 6.
Last week, the acting mayor stated that the city is 90 percent ready to host the national sporting event despite the delays that the city government encountered, particularly with the rehabilitation of the CCSC.Pages, meanwhile, expressed confidence in the CCSC's track oval development, with the contractor committed to completing the lining by next week, followed by curing. The track is expected to be ready before the Palarong Pambansa opening ceremony on July 9.
