The Department of Education (DepEd) has issued guidelines on the selection of Senior High School (SHS) Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) specializations.
The Department of Education has issued guidelines on the selection of Senior High School Technical-Vocational-Livelihood specializations.In DepEd Order No. 54 s. of 2022 signed by Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte, the issuance of the guidelines aimed to “institutionalize the steps to be undertaken” by Schools Division Offices and TVL SHSs to identify the TVL specializations to offer.
DepEd furthered that the process provided shall “guide schools in organizing and analyzing data from learners, national, regional, and local development priority documents and data sources.” “Results from the analyses of these data will help SDOs and schools decide on which TVL specializations to offer,” DepED said.
The procedures outlined in these guidelines, DepEd said, will take effect starting School Year 2023. The offering of the streamlined list of TVL specializations, on the other hand, will be implemented from School Year 2024 onwards.
