Duterte explained that the digital world offers students a “wealth of chances” for communication, online study, rights, education and advocacy, and leisure pursuits. However, she also pointed out that the internet has also become a source of “unfounded materials” in addition to “numerous crimes” that began on various online platforms and social networking sites.Child Protection Committee e-learning course
As part of the “Tatag Child Protection Committee” program of the LRPO, DepEd said that the CPC e-learning course is a collaboration between LRPO and the Stairway Foundation Inc. , and is a means to “capacitate” the school CPCs through the use of e-learning.During the event, Duterte applauded the LRPO for “stepping up and forging stronger relationships” with stakeholders and other child protection advocates in the creation of the Learners Telesafe Contact Center Helpline.
