Alex Street, founder of Mystery Jersey King, a South Normanton-based business selling football shirts in 'mystery boxes', secured a £50,000 investment from Dragon Sara Davies on Thursday's episode of BBC's Dragons' Den. Street impressed the panel with his passion for unique kits and his savvy business sense, securing a deal for 15% of the company. He plans to use the investment to optimize operations, boost buying power, and target the US market.

The company offers distinctive shirts from across the globe to customers through one-off purchases or a monthly "mystery shirt" subscription. On his time in the Den, Mr Street said: "I knew my numbers and had rehearsed as much as possible. Securing backing from Sara Davies, is a dream come true - she's the perfect partner to help take Mystery Jersey King to the next level.
"Alex is such a character, and his enthusiasm lit up the room the moment he walked in," Ms Davies added.
