Members of the public have been warned not to approach Matthew West
Police have issued a ‘do not approach’ warning over a man who ‘walked out of’ a Derbyshire prison. Officers are appealing for information after Matthew West absconded from HMP Sudbury, in Ashbourne, at 8.15pm, Tuesday, October 24.
The 39-year-old, who is believed to be wearing a light grey top with an orange stripe, black joggers, and black trainers, has links to Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, and Staffordshire, the force says.Members of the public have been warned not to approach West and instead contact Derbyshire police with reference 23*661468. A spokesperson for Derbyshire Police said: “We are appealing for information after a convict absconded from HMP Sudbury.
“West is around 5ft 11ins tall, of medium build with blonde hair and blue eyes. He has tattoos on both arms and scars on his head and face.
