Time is running out: Four Afghan women are killed in crush as crowd fights to get into Kabul airport
As thousands tried to rush through gates in 88F temperatures, some at the front of the queue were crushed. Soldiers desperately shouted for medics & stretchers as people were pronounced dead and covered in sheets. Mayhem followed more violence in the capital last night as people in crowds were being beaten with sticks. Taliban co-founder Mullah Baradar arrived in the Afghan capital today for talks with militant commanders.
