An Alice Springs business owner has described the “unprecedented” damage caused to his shop and the community by youths as he called for more to be done by authorities.
An Alice Springs business owner has made a desperate plea for change after he and the local community were targeted by vandals again, causing “unprecedented” damage amid an ongoing youth crime crisis.

Picture: Sky News Australia “The health service there with those cars – every window smashed and spray painted, the building inside, damaged significantly. Ten government vehicles were smashed in another location.
“There was also for the childcare centre – development centre – some of their cars were… there too so they haven’t got any vehicles this week either.” “The news I got last night which is not so encouraging for me and other people, is that what they’re going to do here in the next few days in Alice Springs – so detectives and biker units, they’re going to be put back into police uniform,” he said.
