7NEWS: Baby rattles urgently recalled over choking risk

Four different products by Tuti Fruti Fun and Learning, including teethers and musical rattles, were included in the recall.

Wooden cartoon musical bell rattles, natural beechwood teether rattles, wooden rattles with coloured rings, and a set of four Montessori wooden rattles and teethers for babies by Tuti Fruti Fun and Learning were found to have breached safety standards, ACCC said.The rattles do not comply with mandatory size requirements for children ages up to 36 months, and could cause death to young children.

“There is a risk of choking, suffocation or death to young children if they continue to use these rattles,” ACCC said.Wooden cartoon musical bell rattles by Tuti Fruti Fun and Learning have been urgently recalled.Natural beechwood teether rattles, wooden rattles with coloured rings, and a set of four Montessori wooden rattles and teethers for babies were also included in the recall.
