Three states have been slapped with severe weather warnings as "dangerous winds" developing ahead of a blustery cold front.Australia'sThe Bureau of Meteorology have also issued severe weather warnings covering eastern Victoria, and southeast NSW, including the Central Tablelands and Illawarra and Tasmania.Winds are generally faster over higher terrain and exposed coasts, putting these locations at risk of damaging winds more often.
The strong gusts are due to a high-pressure system passing over southern Western Australia, as a cold front also passes over the east of Tasmania.Hobart can also expect a morning shower, with a top of 13 degrees.
