A "Celtic-daft" hillwalker has been remembered by his devastated family members after he died following a fall on an icy path.But on Sunday, January 29, tragedy struck when the 48-year-old was fatally injured after falling at Kilbo Path in Tayside, the Daily Record reports.
His sister, Melanie Egan, paid tribute to her 'brave' brother in an online post while also urging other hillwalkers to take care on Scottish mountains. "Please be careful out there and always be aware of your surroundings. I hope everyone stays safe out there. It is a dangerous but brave thing to do."
With the weather set to dip again this weekend, the Tayside Mountain Rescue Team is once again asking climbers to make sure they are using the correct equipment.
