A Perth student who was fatally attacked by a shark in the Swan River on Saturday has been identified as Stella Berry, with her parents left 'devastated and deeply shocked'.
Authorities are yet to confirm what type of shark was behind the attack but WA Fisheries Minister Don Punch believes it could have been a bull shark.
"There was this big scream and then we see a girl just jump off and we see a few fins," one witness told Nine News. Picture: Seven News "It is unusual for a shark to be that far down the river… at this point in time an alert has been put out, a shark warning just to let people know this incident has taken place,” he said.
