A 30-year-old man has been charged with multiple domestic violence offences following the gruesome discovery of a body, believed to be his mother, inside her own car police were desperately searching for.
Wendy Sleeman, 61, provided a statement to local police on Tuesday after allegedly seeing her estranged son Slade Murdok, 30, near her Surfers Paradise workplace.
The body of missing woman Wendy Sleeman, 61, is believed to have been found in the boot of her own car in Brisbane. Picture: Facebook Queensland Detective Superintendent Brendan Smith told reporters on Thursday night the remains are yet to be identified but"it certainly appears to be her". A couple told The Courier Mail an operation began about 5:30pm on Australia Day and residents of the complex had been questioned in the lead up to the discovery.
"It's more about him finding the opportunity to find somewhere to hide the car for want of a better term," he said.
