DFW Weather: June 5 midday forecast update
The unsettled weather pattern isn't over yet for North Texas. More thunderstorms are in the forecast this week. Some could be severe. Here's the latest forecast and timing:Some storms could be severe with strong winds and a flood riskStorms moved into North Texas just after midnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning. The rain has moved out of the area and into southeast Texas. Some rainfall totals since midnight were impressive! This prompted flash flood warnings across the area.
The weather pattern is turning calmer and it'll feel like summer! Wednesday's temperatures will still be in the low 90s but temperatures will climb into the mid-90s the next couple of days. Southerly winds keep bringing moisture to the area. That means the heat index is back. Some heat index values will be in the 100s this week.
