High temps are expected to near 100 degrees by the weekend.
Beryl has moved out. Warmer and drier weather is on tap the rest of the week. Here's the latest forecast:Return of the 100s?Beryl continues to move northeast and away from North Texas. It'll eventually make it to the Great Lakes. Meanwhile, Texas dries out as surface high pressure takes over. This means it is back to summer time business around here.
Plan on temperatures slowly climbing over the next several days. Highs will be trending just a few degrees above normal by the time the weekend rolls around. Humidity will also be climbing the second half of the week, so heat index will be in the 100s late this week into the weekend. A strong ridge of high pressure will be over the western side of the country and that is bringing record high temperatures for many in the west.
