People should go to their GP if they are worried about their symptoms
People who are experiencing an increased feeling of being 'thirsty' as well as 'hunger' are being urged to keep an eye on their symptoms with both being an early indication you could have diabetes.
The most common symptoms experienced by those with diabetes are increased thirst, needing to urinate more often, feeling tired and losing weight. This causes the body to try and reduce blood glucose levels by flushing excess glucose from the body in the urine. This would explain why it can make you more thirsty.
