By the way, the beat writer who might have played a role in Wells moving up to cleanup has one more lineup suggestion for Boone. Kirschner would like to see switch-hitting reserve Oswaldo Cabrera getting more starts at third base over slumping veteran DJ LeMahieu, who went into Saturday batting .182 with no homers and 11 RBI in 38 games.“If I’m influencing manager decisions, I think Boone can throw me a few dollars,” Kirschner said.
