Sign up hereChristopher Ward has announced a new version of its C1 Bel Canto watch.The model, which chimes on the stroke of each hour, was a huge commercial and critical hit on its release in November 2022.The first run of 300 watches in “azzuro” blue sold out on eight hours. A second run of 300 watches in “verde” green sold out in two hours.
“If people were dismissive of the brand, in any way, shape, or form – or they just weren’t interested – then the Bel Canto has made them look at us in a different way,” Mike France told Esquire earlier this year.“It feels like an opportunity. We’re not without ambition. I honestly believe if we can get this right, it’s a quarter of a billion-pound brand.
