Isinulong ng Liga ng mga Aktor sa Pilipina na Aktor PH na ideklarang National Artist ang Star for All Season na si Vilma Santos, ayon sa Kapuso Primetime King na si Dingdong Dantes.
Sa ginanap na media conference ng Aktor PH nitong Biyernes, binasa ni Dingdong, isa sa mga opisyal ng Aktor PH , ang mensahe ni Charo Santos-Concio, na bahagi ng Advisory Board ng Aktor, sa pagnomina kay Ate Vi bilang National Artist .
Inilahad ni Dingdong, hinirang na Box Office Hero ng 7th EDDYs Award para sa pelikulang"Rewind," ang ilan sa mga nagawa ni Vilma sa Philippine cinema sa nagdaang 60 taon para maging karapat-dapat siyang mapabilang sa mga pambansang alagad ng sining ng bansa. Ilan sa mga hindi mabilang na pelikula ni Vilma ang Trudis Liit kung saan nakuha niya ang kaniyang unang acting award bilang Best Child Actress noong 1963 FAMAS Awards; Darna at Dyesebel .
Bukod dito, sumabak din si Ate Vi sa public service, bilang Mayor ng Lipa, Gobernador ng Batangas at miyembro ng House of Representatives sa ika-6 congressional district ng Batangas.
