Diogo JotaLiverpoolInjuries

Liverpool forward Diogo Jota is fully recovered from the injuries that plagued his season and is eager to lead the attack against his former club, Wolves. Jota missed 15 games due to two separate setbacks but is now pushing for a starting role after regaining his fitness.

Diogo Jota is confident he has fully recovered from the injuries that hampered his Liverpool season. The Portuguese forward missed 15 games due to two separate setbacks: an impact injury to his upper body and a muscle complaint. Despite scoring eight goals this season, Jota's last Premier League start was in October. However, he is now pushing to lead the attack for Liverpool 's home game against his former club, Wolves , on Sunday.

Jota acknowledges that it took time to regain full fitness after the initial injury sustained against Chelsea nearly four months ago. He stated, 'Especially after the first one (injury), it was a long time out, it requires time.' He continued, 'Now it was a quick one and every game it's a step forward into the game rhythm. I want to be able to help the team as much as I can.' Jota expressed his readiness to contribute, saying, 'I'm ready to go. Everyone will have the chance because there's a tough schedule. So, everyone's going to be a big help for the team and hopefully everyone can contribute.' The forward also highlighted the significance of the Wolves fixture, stating, 'It's obviously always special against Wolves for me. I know their ability, I still have some good friends there and they won't make it any easier for us. We need to make a good performance and with our fans behind us I think we can win.' Liverpool face a demanding schedule with five Premier League games in 15 days, including trips to Aston Villa and Manchester City, followed by a home game against Newcastle United. Jota recognizes the challenge ahead, saying, 'This is going to be a tough period, we have a lot of games coming up and that's the good thing (because) if things don't go well, obviously you have a quick chance to turn it around very quickly.' He added, 'It's not been great (after the Everton game) and we, as a team, need to bounce back. I think the commitment of the team was very good and small margins didn't allow us to get those three points. 'But now at home with our fans, I believe we need to get back on track and we certainly can do.'
