The owner of the vehicle has been working with Live Oak PD to find his vehicle.
After a disabled Air Force Veteran checked into the Hamilton Inn on night, he woke up the next morning to find his car was gone.SAN ANTONIO — Air force veteran, Miles Jones, is relying on a rental to get around town after his vehicle was stolen on Mar. 31.
Jones has been working closely with Live Oak Police Department to find the vehicle he calls ‘his dream car.' "It just sucks that you know people work hard for what they buy and purchase, they work hard for it," Jones said."It’s just unfortunate people just come and take it from ‘em."“First reaction I thought was like ‘Hey, is this a prank?’ I thought my wife had picked my car up from me,” he said.
He called her. But she didn’t take his car. So Jones relied on his Guardian App, which he says didn’t help much. “I’ve been able to do location pings from my phone, but I think they’re scrambled pings so I just think they’re like false pings, false locations at this point," said Jones.“The last time a detective reached out to me was actually yesterday," he said."He asked me if I had an updated location and I told him no, the last location I had was on Apr. 6.
