Kayleigh Richards, 13, was on her way to meet a friend when she was assaulted by the group of girls outside a Sport Direct store
A disabled schoolgirl had her hair "ripped out" after she was set upon by a gang of teenagers in a "sickening" attack. in Oldham town centre, Manchester Evening News reports.
The assault only comes to an end several moments later when a two men intervene and are able to pull the girl from Kayleigh. The youngster's mum, Natalie Lynch, explained that her daughter was on her way to meet a pal at the cinema when she was the teens blocked her path. The woman, who gave her name as Rachel, came to Kayleigh's aid after witnessing the assault and later walked her home. "I can't thank her enough," Natalie said. "Kayleigh was just shaking and was so quiet. Her hair was coming out in clumps. It was awful."
