Disney+ confirms show with near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score is returning for a second season
A Disney+ show which earned a near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score for its first season has returned for another instalment. Single Drunk Female was scored 96 percent by critics on the review website.
The 10-episode drama is centred on Samantha Fink, a 20-something journalist with a drinking problem. After a string of embarrassing, alcohol-driven mistakes, she is left with no choice but to sober up - or face jail.She moves from New York to Boston to live with her overbearing mother Carol and clean up her act. Swapping the world of media for a job at a grocery store, Samantha decides to become her best self - but it's never as easy as it seems.
Ally Sheedy, Rebecca Henderson, Sasha Compère, Lily Mae Harrington and Garrick Bernard make up the cast. And now the show, which was written and created by Simone Finch, is back for a second season.
