Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan has urged Manilans to dispose of their garbage properly, reminding them to practice the 'Tapat Ko, Linis Ko” policy which requires every household in the city to keep their vicinities clean.
Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan has urged Manilans to dispose of their garbage properly, reminding them to practice the"Tapat Ko, Linis Ko” policy which requires every household in the city to keep their vicinities clean.Lacuna-Pangan also said on Tuesday, August 8, that cleaning their community will help them contain the flash floods during heavy downpour.
The rainy days might continue until the end of the year, and improper waste disposal can clog the waterways that lead to flood, she said. The clean-up drives will unburden the work of personnel from the Department of Public Services who spend too much time tidying up the streets of the city. She added that keeping the city clean would attract more tourists and investors that could benefit the city.
The lady mayor also reminded the residents to be guided by the Executive Order No. 6 2022 or the clean-up day every Friday in the communities, including the city hall.
