A train derailment in the East Midlands is expected to cause disruption on services to Nottingham for most of Monday, December 12. East Midlands Railway confirmed a 'low-speed derailment' occurred near Market Harborough during engineering works at about 5.30am.
Trains can not stop at the station as a result and are having to divert on a longer route. As a result, EMR says a reduced timetable is now being operated on the Sheffield, Nottingham and London route. A spokesperson for EMR said: "Network Rail are working to re-rail the derailed train at Market Harborough.
