Fiona McCusker-Rae had gone on a break after the death of her mum
Fiona McCusker-Rae, 52, decided to go on a solo holiday to Antalya to get away after the recently loss of her beloved mum, Olive. However, a few days into the mum's trip, she called her horrified daughter from the floor of her hotel room, where she was curled up in pain, and told her: "I'm covered in blood.
Fiona was admitted to hospital and immediately taken into the intensive care unit. Doctors there advised Cody to come straight to Turkey as his mum's condition was 'extremely serious'. Fiona was diagnosed with gastrointestinal haemorrhaging, cirrhosis of the liver and sepsis. Cody said the family have been warned "she could die or she could get better."
"I can only see her for five minutes, once a day, at visiting time. The hospital also hasn't given us a price, even though we've asked numerous times."
