At a town hall on Thursday evening, Chandler told attendees that he was ready to 'bring back the Mission' some asked how well he knew it.
Speaking in front of about two dozen people during a forum at Manny’s on Thursday, District 9 hopeful Trevor Chandler assured the crowd he would do whatever it takes to get what he needs for his district — and that he’s not afraid of shaking things up.
“Any meeting that any of these departments want to have with me, they can meet me at a desk at the BART station and we can talk about it as trash floats by,” said Chandler. “I’m willing to use the bully pulpit in ways that, yes, does embarrass them, but also gets results.”in April. Jackie Fielder will be next, with a date still to be determined.
At present, permitted vendors have been relegated to a single city-designated shop at 24th and Capp streets called “La Placita.”Chandler blamed City Hall for letting the situation spiral out of control and celebrated the newly-cleared sidewalks.
