She is currently facing attempted murder charges, accused of allegedly shooting her boyfriend in the face back in February.She was suspended without pay for violating the standards of conduct.
As her criminal case makes it way through the courts, the official seat at District Court 12-2-04 off Cameron Street in Harrisburg has had a rotation of senior judges filling the role.Nina Dennis, a Harrisburg resident, said the lack of organization at the district court is having major implications on her.Dennis said since October, she has had six to seven different judges hear her case in McKnight’s absence.“They don’t know what everyone’s doing,” Dennis said.
She said she then appealed the amount, but the entire case got appealed. Now, she must start from the beginning and attributes the mistake to the lack of organization at the MDJ’s office.CBS 21 News reached out to the Administrative Office of PA Courts about District Court 12-2-04. In a statement, a spokesperson for AOPC said:
“I feel like we have gotten robbed in the last nine months of proper due justice in this area,” Dennis said.
