A large police cordon is in place following the incident
Police have cordoned off a major road near to Liverpool's docks after a man was injured in an industrial incident. Police closed Regent Road in Bootle this afternoon as a cordon was put in place just after the junction with Lower Bank View. Photos taken at the scene show a truck inside the cordon with a smashed windscreen, surrounded by glass and debris. A large pile of bricks can also be seen scattered across the road.
20pm on Thursday, October 17 at a private industrial site at the junction of Lower Bank View and Regent Road. A man in his 60s was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not thought to be life threatening, police said. Traffic monitoring site inrix said diversions were in place for drivers due to the road closure. Police confirmed this evening officers remain at the scene while enquiries are carried out.
