Jonathan Wolf discussed the links between menopause and heart disease, belly fat, and excess weight with Dr Sarah Berry
A doctor has shared a worrying link between menopausal women and the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure and more. On a ZOE Shorts podcast episode, CEO Jonathan Wolf spoke to Doctor Sarah Berry about the links between troubling health issues and menopause.
"We found that menopausal women had worse sleep, they ate more sugary foods, they had worse blood sugar responses, higher levels of inflammation, higher blood pressure, and worse blood lipids. I mean, the list is endless, nearly." Jonathan asked: "Does that mean that women may be able to counteract some of these symptoms of the menopause rather than just saying, hey, this is gonna happen and there's nothing you can do about it?"
