A doctor who was criticised by a coroner for her role in a newborn baby's death faces being struck off the medical register.

A number of hospital staff, including nurses, midwives and doctors involved in Finnley's care during his tragically short life, gave evidence and confirmed that no one took control of the situation.

Now the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service, which adjudicates on complaints made against doctors and makes independent decisions about their fitness to practise, has confirmed a hearing will take place next month relating to Dr Dhulipala. A statement on the MPTS website states: "The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that on 1 October 2020, Dr Dhulipala failed to provide appropriate care and treatment to Patient A following their birth.
