Family doctors will be PAID to prescribe hormone therapy to transgender patients
The scheme will initially run for three years, with family doctors to be given £178 annually for each adult which they prescribe cross-sex hormone therapy to.
GPs can also claim another £91 each year for providing an annual health check. Aims to lower high rates of long-term physical and mental health problems for transgender, non-binary and intersex patients with low NHS satisfaction rates
