The Los Angeles Dodgers have activated one of their best relievers off the injured list, and designated a struggling pitcher for assignment.

The Los Angeles Dodgers will have one of their best relievers back on Friday for their series opener against the Colorado Rockies.

The Dodgers are activating right-handed pitcher Evan Phillips off the 15-day injured list. He's been out since May 3 and had a 0.66 ERA in 13.2 innings this season. Before Phillips went down with the injury, he was among the best relievers in baseball, allowing just one earned run in 13.2 innings of work. That gave him a 0.66 ERA, and he also had eight saves and 17 strikeouts.
