DOF teams up with government agencies to promote transparency

THE Department of Finance has teamed up with relevant government agencies to discuss ways to promote transparency in the Official Development Assistance process and monitor the impact of its projects on beneficiaries.ODAs are loans or grants that are geared toward promoting sustainable social and economic development for the benefit of the people.They are contracted with governments of foreign countries with whom the Philippines has diplomatic, trade relations, or bilateral agreements.

During a meeting on July 22, 2024, the DOF, the Department of Foreign Affairs , and the National Economic and Development Authority delivered their respective presentations relating to their roles and processes in dealing with ODA loans and grants and foreign donations.
