A dog named Margo has been rescued after falling down a gorge at Finnich Glen in Stirlingshire, Scotland . The Lomond Mountain Rescue Team (LMRT) assisted the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service on Sunday at the beauty spot, also known as the Devil's Pulpit. Margo was hauled to safety suffering only some bumps and scrapes and was taken to be checked over by a vet.
Stirling Council has regularly told visitors to avoid the 21m (70ft) gorge and issued warnings over dangerous parking at the unofficial tourist spot. LMRT said Margot was 'very cooperative' during the rescue and was quickly hauled up the gorge and reunited with its owner. They added: 'Once on scene, a rescue plan was agreed, and a rigging system was quickly and efficiently organised to lower a team member down to the dog.' The charity, founded in 1967 is made up of full-time volunteers, based at a rescue post in the village of Drymen, close to Finnich Glen. As well as featuring in US TV series Outlander, it has also been a location for Netflix film King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and TV drama The Nest
