MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health on Thursday said it recorded 1,141 new coronavirus infections, increasing the number of active cases to 17,393., the country’s total confirmed coronavirus cases have now reached 4,029,201, including with 3,947,284 recoveries and 64,524 deaths.The figure on new infections is slightly lower than the average daily infections recorded from November 14-20 which was at 1,296.
Also, Metro Manila remained at the top of the list of regions with the most number of COVID-19 cases in the past two weeks with 3,347 cases. It was followed by Calabarzon with 1,908, and Western Visayas with 1,378.
