THE Department of Health has denied insinuations by one of its employees that Health Officer-in-charge Maria Rosario Vergeire was involved in the Dengvaxia mess.A report by The Manila Times on Sunday said that Clarito Cairo, DoH project manager of its Cancer Prevention and Control Program, said that Vergeire, alongside former health secretary Janet Garin and other senior officials, had withheld information on the anti-dengue vaccine in a hearing on February 16.

He also filed graft and malversation charges at the Ombudsman against Vergeire, Health Assistant Secretary Beverly Ho, Directors Razel Nikka Hao and Anthony Cu, division chief Kim Patrick Tejano and other officials over the 'mismanagement' of P786 million funding for the Cancer and Supportive Palliative Medicine Access program or CSPMAP.But in a statement sent to The Times, the Department of Health has clarified assertions that Vergeire was involved.
