PRITI Patel insists she will not allow the coronavirus lockdown to become a breeding ground for domestic abuse and will have the offenders hunted down.
Campaigner Rachel Williams, who was shot by her abusive husband in 2011, said:"The homicide rate is going to go through the roof, this is what we're bracing ourselves for.A coalition of domestic abuse and specialist support charities has written to No 10 asking ministers to factor violence against women and girls into the"highest levels of Covid-19 response planning".
