Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai discussed match-winner Mohamed Salah
Dominik Szoboszlai has admitted that he wants to play with Mohamed Salah as long as he can after the Liverpool star's match-winning performance. The Egyptian scored twice to help the Reds edge past Southampton in a 3-2 win at St Mary's. The 32-year-old netted two second-half goals, including a penalty nine minutes from time, to complete the comeback for Arne Slot's side. Salah continues to face contract uncertainty as his current deal at Anfield expires at the end of the season.
'He needs to keep playing. Hopefully I can play with him as long as I can.' The Hungarian was on target for the Reds, opening the scoring in the first-half, ending his 10-month wait to score in the Premier League after last netting for Liverpool in the 4-1 win over Chelsea at the end of January.
