Don’t give wildlife a scare this Halloween Ahead of Halloween, Forestry England has called on Brits to ignore social media advice that recommends dumping leftover pumpkins in the woods. Over 24 million pumpkins are sold in the UK each year, 16 million of which are predicted to go to waste. A study by Next revealed that two in three of us throw away our Jack O’Lanterns without finding another use for them, prompting a number of tips to be shared on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.
