has appealed a judge’s civil contempt order hitting him with a $10,000 daily fine for not complying with a subpoena in a New York investigation into his company. Trump filed his appeal a day the fine went into effect on Tuesday and Judge Arthur Engoron issued a written order affirming his contempt finding.
New York Attorney General Letitia James’ office has been investigating whether the Trump Organization provided fraudulent information to tax officials, borrowers and lenders. The office requested that Engoron hold Trump in contempt for failing to comply with a subpoena issued in December.Breaking story, check back for updates…
