His comments come after Mr. Clooney’s op-ed ran in The New York Times Wednesday. In the piece, Mr. Clooney, a lifelong Democrat, said the 81-year-old Mr. Biden isn’t the same man he once was, and it’s time for him to let someone else take over. Hollywood’s liberal entertainment community has long been a major financial resource for Mr. Biden and the Democratic Party.
