Conservative groups have outlined far-reaching overhaul of federal government should ex-president clinch second term
Donald Trump has sought to distance himself from a group of influential right-wing policy wonks who have offered a controversial blueprint for the former Republican president should he secure another four years in the White House. “I know nothing about Project 2025,” Trump said in a post to his Truth Social platform on Friday.
“I disagree with some of the things they’re saying and some of the things they’re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal. Anything they do, I wish them luck, but I have nothing to do with them.” Trump’s comments came days after the Heritage Foundation’s president, Kevin Roberts, said the US was “in the process of the second American Revolution, which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be”.
