The FBI has named Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, as the “subject involved” in the assassination attempt and said the investigation remains active and ongoing. Former President Donald Trump is confirmed as safe despite blood being seen on his face following the shooting An eyewitness, who identified himself as a doctor named Joseph, told NBC he helped carry a deceased man from the scene and that another woman had been injured in the hand.
Mr Trump Jr later said his father would “never stop fighting to save America”, sharing a photograph of the former president with his fist raised defiantly in the air, his face smeared with blood, and the American flag flying in the background.Trump’s daughter Ivanka thanked the public for their love and prayers following the “senseless violence”, expressed her gratitude to law enforcement and added: “I continue to pray for our country”.
