Former President Donald Trump posted his first statement since being shot at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday evening.In his Truth Social post at 8:42 p.m. ET, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee thanked the Secret Service and law enforcement officials present.He then expressed his condolences to the 'family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured.'The U.S.
'In his Truth Social post, Trump said that 'nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead.'Trump described his experience of the bullet piercing 'the upper part of my right ear,' saying that he 'knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening.
