Former President Donald Trump will speak to a New York probation officer Monday from his Florida home at Mar-a-Lago.
Republican presidential candidate, former President Donald Trump motions to the crowd after speaking at a campaign rally Sunday, June 9, 2024, in Las Vegas.
Probation officials must conduct the interview and prepare a report before state Supreme Court Judge Juan Merchan sentences Mr. Trump on July 11 for his conviction on 34 counts of falsifying business records. Sitting for a probation interview virtually is somewhat unusual, though forcing Mr. Trump to return to New York would require a Secret Service presence and be disruptive.
