The dust had barely settled on Kilcoo’s impressive six-point win over League champions Carryduff when Karl Lacey got word that his side would be out again in six days' time.

We’ll be looking for something similar, something nice and controlled and try to go through the gears. It is another game as a group together, so it is about getting them gelling together and playing together more and we’ll see where that takes us on Sunday.”
“It was never a motive to lay down a marker. The motive was to try and deliver a performance and try to put all the things we’ve been working on this year together,” said Lacey.“You don’t know where you are at when the League plays out. We’d a lot of distractions over the League, obviously with the Down boys. We’d nine players involved so we were missing a lot of lads during the League.
