A man charged with murdering his pregnant sister confessed on a doorbell video to stabbing her to death, police say
The victim's twin brother, Martin Egwuagu, told police Mrs Ebichi texted him around 5.30am saying the suspect was at the home and"was having a crisis".
Martin Egwuagu said when he spoke with his brother in an effort to calm him down, Michael Egwuagu"made several strange statements," the police affidavit says. Mrs Ebichi texted her brother again at 4.10pm asking him to come around. When he arrived, a church member was standing outside with Ms Ebichi's oldest child, who was covered in blood.
Martin Egwuagu told deputies he found Mrs Ebichi's body inside the home and saw his brother Michael in the street appearing to pray. The suspect reportedly kept repeating that his brother Martin was"one of the good ones", before he stripped off his bloody clothes and put them in a bin, leaving himself naked.It remembers her as having"a huge heart that was so giving, she would give her love, time, energy, and knowledge out freely to those who seek these intangibles with no expectation of anything in return."
