Peter Bol's lawyer says the Australian athlete's career hopes hang on his B sample result, but his coach says the doping accusations have already damaged his Paris Olympics medal chances.

Lagat competed for Kenya at the Sydney 2000 Olympics, winning a bronze medal in the men's 1,500m, before failing his drug test in 2003.

"There is a minor chance of that test being positive due to some sort of error in the lab, although this isn't very common," Mr Bellinger said.Griffith University sports scientist Phil Bellinger says athletes may inject EPO to boost red blood cell mass and improve endurance performance. Lance Armstrong is probably the most prominent athlete who has tested positive or admitted to using EPO in the past 20 years.

"If you do inject EPO in this microdose format, it is very hard to detect … it does require very precise testing," he said.Right now Bol's legal team only has a one-page summary sheet, but it has requested laboratory documents to begin building its case.

Mr Bolt said he does not know why the Liberals can’t say “no to racism”. “Nobody is in favour of racism in the Liberal Party and if they are they don’t have a place in our party,” Mr Dutton said. He said the Liberal Party is putting “appropriate pressure” on the government to release more information on the Voice to Parliament. “I think by the way in which we have entered this debate, as I say in a respectful way, we have said on behalf of millions of Australians, who may not be as adamant in their position as you (Andrew Bolt) are. “They want to hear that information, that they want the detail from the Prime Minister.”
