Less than a week remains in the January transfer window and Man United need to try and oversee plenty more business before the bell sounds on Monday night.
Manchester United now have less than a week to fine-tune their squad ahead of the remainder of the season.
But with five days to go until the window closes, United need to try and ramp up the level of activity further, both in terms of incomings and outgoings.As reported by the Manchester Evening News on Tuesday, United are continuing to work on a deal to sign Lecce wing-back Dorgu. Talks have been ongoing over the past week or so and United's director of transfer negotiations Matt Hargreaves and Base Soccer intermediaries Leon Angel and Frank Trimboli met Lecce officials last week.
United are having to keep the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules at the forefront of their thinking, meaning they are highly unlikely to swoop for a big-name striker in a big-money deal between now and next Monday night. Their only chance of signing a striker is likely to be via a loan deal.
Amorim's recent comments about Rashford could force United into accepting a cut-price deal, with a loan exit likely to offer the forward his only escape route. His representatives have held talks with clubs both domestically and abroad.Despite not being banished from the squad like Rashford has, Casemiro has also found opportunities hard to come by lately. He has not featured in any of United's opening six matches of 2025, being left on the bench for each of them.
