“It’s really important to offer a well-rounded experience for all of our campers,” said assistant program coordinator Sophie Skipper.
Summer camps are great for kids, but they do come with a cost. News4's Jamel Johnson did some digging to find out how to make school break fun affordable.
“We’re lining up field trips for campers that might not ever get to go to places like the Montgomery Zoo or Fort Novosel,” said Skipper. The rec center is prideful that they can combine affordability with having an eventful summer, while still building that home away from home feeling.
